I received an email this morning 8/1/2018 stating my car may have recalls on it. When I click the link, I see there are 10 recalls on the 2004 chevy Malibu. 10! out of those 10, I received a notice for only two! I received a notice about my power steering which came after my wheel locked up on my while I was driving on the highway! I check the list today, and my car has had several issue that were listed: ignition, transmission, brakes, etc. I was never notified about these issues. These notices have been out since 2014 and I never received a notice about them.
I turn my car on drive go to get out the key won't come out sometimes it does and most time is doesn't. I try turn the car back on putting the car in drive then park and turning the key to off position and the car still doesn't go into the park position so the key doesn't go into off position to take key out. The car stays on without the ignition being on. The car is stationary but the car won't go into park to turn the car completely off. Spoke to gm problem with transmission shift cable but they won't help me. The keep saying there is no recall for my car. There was a recall for this gm's recall 14152. Please help. Thank you!.
The vehicle continually goes into "engine low power mode" while on the highways. This is now occurring daily. I've tried to get it fixed but no one seems to know what it is. I am very fortunate that no one has hit me when the vehicle goes from high speeds down to 20 miles per hour with no response by pressing the gas pedal. There have been multiple things failing on this car: passenger side window no longer opens, cruise control will not work, 2 of the 3 chargers in the car do not work (after fixing those fuses, they just blew immediately) power locks went from barely working to not working at all, the latest being the low power mode and traction control being activated in the heat of a tennessee spring (already 80 degrees) - it's not a water issue. The first few months I had this car it was in the shop almost every weekend. I've gotten all the recalls fixed when they required it and I keep up with maintenance on this car. It has the usual break downs but this is the least safe car I have ever driven (and I have driven around twenty long term, ten more short term).
"takata recall" my 2004 Malibu does not have working cruise control , my wiring is barely working as in my locks won't work , my heat we only blows cold air on defrost my defrost barely clears my windows , my t\c light is the only light that stays on all the time and I barely have traction while driving if I'm trying to accelerate getting on the highway my wheel will lock or barely move and I have to let completely off the gas to free the wheel I get any alerts on my spedometer.

I am writing this for my daughter who is at the end of her rope. The shift cable broke back in July, when she found out the cable was on a recall she had the car towed to riverhead chevy. She was told there are 3 recalls they would take care of. Around mid September when she called she told them her farther wanted gm's consumers number. The man then gave her two numbers to call, when tried to call them I found out they were sex line numbers. When she called the dealership they were sorry. This is not the way a dealership should run a business ! now in the meantime I had to help her buy another car so she could get back and forth for work (she is a single mom not living at home). Back in sept. She was told the parts would be in around late oct. Now she was told not until after Dec. This has gone on for 5 months with countless phone calls to the dealership and gm hot line, how and why is gm allowed to get away with this. I am a mechanic and had a repair shop for more then ten years. I would have been in court a long time ago if I tried to do this. On Dec. 26 we received this recall #14v224 after sitting in a parking lot for 5 months how good will the oil, battery, tires, and gas be?.

I was driving my sons 2004 Malibu when suddenly there was a few dings followed by the car symbol light with the wrench inside it on the dash light up. The wheel immediately became difficult to turn . It's as if the power steering stopped working. I drove to a safe location, turned off the car and the problem was gone. This does not seem right to me. Please have gm rectify this issue.
