I was on my way to work driving on the 405 freeway in California going around a ramp in my steering wheel locked up on me I hit the brake it released the next morning on my way back home from work I was on my way on the freeway so I accelerate on the gas and my steering wheel locked up as soon as I took my foot off the ignition gas it released. And just recently about 3 days ago today is November 7th so November 2nd on my way home from work all of this happened on my way to work in from work but on my way from work I went down to start my car and steering wheel starts shaking real bad start jerking real bad and from there other things to start happening to the car steering wheel starts shaking real bad as I put on my seatbelt the seatbelt sign will not go off and we'll make a beeping sound every few minutes also the total contraction sign also cut on and then for some reason I had a half tank of gas in my tank but the fuel light will come cut on and on the dash will save fuel low when I had just filled the tank up.
Replaced canister purge valve and solenoid as well as gas cap twice. 2006 and 2012. Dealer service no warranty. Check engine light still does not stay off. Scares you when you are driving because you don't know if car will stop or get you home. Could cause problem if there is leak or mechanical issue. #2 seat belt light comes on and off every 3 to 5 miles. Dealer can't find issue.
Driver seat suddenly dropped and leaned to the right. Upon inspection of seat, the mounting bracket was found to be broken.
Air bag readiness light in the instrument panel comes on and off. Vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer to be serviced. Authorized dealer informed me that parts were modified since the original parts were unserviceable. Airbag coil bracket and switch were modified and installed.
I own a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, driving on highway and lost power steering. Gm acknowledged there was an issue and issued an extended warranttee on the defect 100,000/ 10year but my car has 106000 and they are refusing to help me. This is a major safety issue and it should be recalled. Estimated cost to fix $1100. 00 in which I don't have. Major safety issue. I have 2 children and am extremely concerned about putting my kids in the back seat.
