1 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 04/16/2017

Headlights and front blinkers quit working. When I went to change thenergy-saving lights the connectors were melted and wires were exposed. The orange lense on the drivers side has melted and is disconnected from the fixture and is lying inside the light inclosure. The lights and blinkers quit working as I was driving the vehicle. I cannot drive the vehicle at night because I am afraid to have the lights on for fear of possible first hazard. The cruise control stopped working around the end 2016.

2 Cruise Control problem

A dashboard light came on ( t/c ) and disabled my cruse control while driving. The next day, my transmission seem to stop in second gear, even when accelerating. I cannot turn the t/c on with the console button or engage cruise control. My transmission is now shifting hard into second gear. . . Still no cruise control or t/c this has been occurring approx. 1 1/2 weeks mostly highway driving, clear skies and no water on road. The t/c light comes on when I shift from park to drive and will not turn off.

3 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2014

Over a course of three years, I've continuously had problems with my taillights going out, cruise control malfunctioning, etc. I've had several near miss accidents because of this issue. My brake lights randomly go on and go off while my car is in motion and when braking the brake lights fail to "light up". I have had several mechanics give me different diagnosis' and have spent a few hundred dollars to remedy this and every thing has failed. I recently did some research and came across this which is exactly what is wrong with my vehicle. . Read more...

7 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 05/10/2006

I'd just entered onto the freeway and was going about 55 mph when my car began to accelerate at which time I attempted to brake but the brake pedal would not move. I thought that maybe there was a malfunction with the cruise control so I turned it on then off again several times and each time attempted to brake but the pedal still would not move and while at the same maneuver with cars on the freeway. I ended up exiting about 4 miles down the road using an exit with a long exit ramp. As soon as I exited I put the car into neutral and it began to jerk but slow down some but not fast enough as there were cars stopped at traffic light at the end of the ramp and there was not much time left, so at that point I put the car into park which caused my passenger and I to be thrown forward and the seat belts tightened around us. After a few minutes I restarted the car and it began to rev up faster and faster so I immediately called for chevy roadside assistance and the car was towed to a nearby dealership. This occurred on yesterday afternoon and I am awaiting a call from the dealership to inform me of why this happened and to repair my car.
