The contact stated that she received NHTSA campaign number 14v252000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electrical system, exterior lighting, vehicle speed control, electronic stability control) however, the vehicle was taken to smith Chevrolet Cadillac at (209) 632-3946 located at 1601 auto mall dr, turlock, CA 95380 where it was diagnosed that the transmission shift cable and the brake lighting needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the contact stated that while the vehicle was pulled in the drive way, the transmission shift cable fractured without warning. The contact also stated that the brake light failed. The vehicle was taken back to smith Chevrolet Cadillac at (209) 632-3946 located at 1601 auto mall dr, turlock, CA 95380 where the dealer refused service. The contact stated that the remedy failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not offer any further assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000. Lt.
Head lamp bulbs and turn signal bulbs have repeatedly burnt out. Bulbs have been replaced by certified gm shop only to burn out again.
My husband was killed in an accident involving this vehicle. It says in the accident report that the bcm was unresponsive as well as another computer system and the wipers were on in dry weather. I believe a defect contributed to the accident. My husband was traveling with the right of way on a motorcycle when the sedan left turned in front of him.
