Wheel problem #1

The car is not functioning right I am having major problems such as my manufacturing control my battery light it's constantly going on and off it is draining my alternator I have just recently switched out the throttle body and it was still giving me minor problems such as a back rear end passenger tire well I don't technically think that it was the tire because it makes a loud rocking noise haven't quite just found out the problem I have checked out every other thing that I could think about to my vehicle 2006 chevy Malibu that is but I myself continue to work on it and half of the time it still shuts down or won't comply right and one more other thing my abs system takes a 60% fuse but the abs still comes on with the fuse in and with it out and I am having a major problem with my traction control sensor but now so far my car is just down and not drivable and one more thing my car was driving during the shutdown system on the city streets.

Wheel problem #2

While driving 10 mph tc light came on and stayed on while the vehicle did not respond to the wheel turning or to the breaks being pressed to the floor. About 20 miles later while slowing from 20 mph the tc light came on again and the breaks failed to work causing the vehicle not to stop when needed. Checked all tires each time to make sure no flats or obvious issues and there were none.

Wheel problem #3

The steering goes out while making turns and highway driving. You can feel it jerk then you have no control of where the car is going. To gain control back you keep turning the wheel in the opposite direction until it catches. This has been a problem for at least 2 years. I have paid several mechanics to repair problem but I still get the same result and I wear out new tires in 3- 4 month period. No one should purchase as many tires as I do! I am sick of it!!!.

Wheel problem #4

I brought our 2006 Malibu maxx in for a 5000 mile tire balance and rotation. . I was informed that I had two more bent rims on the car. . This after replacing two already several years back. . I was informed by the tire tech that this is an ongoing problem with chevy rims and that they are seeing this soft rim problem on a regular basis. . This can get expensive quick and I would like to know if and when a recall will be initiated? soft rims can cause complete tire failure and blowouts without warning and at highway speeds can be catastrophic. . .

Wheel problem #5

Last November, 2013, I was driving my 2006 Chevrolet Malibu maxx lt on simsbury rd. In avon, CT when I experienced a very dangerous loss of power steering and the electrical system. Causing my front right tire to blow out. This made mycar to swerve and veer into oncoming traffic. T I was at risk of being hit by other cars. While waiting for roadside assist I was helped by the CT dot and avon pd. This was a harrowing, dangerous, and stressful experience for me. I would like Chevrolet to cover all of the repair expenses related to this accident and all problems & repairs that followed since this is directly related to the power steering& electrical system recalls from gm Chevrolet. They did not notify me directly about the power steering& electrical system recalls. I found out only this week August 10, 2014 after I called this with regards two additional recall notices I received of late regarding faulty transmission and brakes. They do not have parts or an expected date for repairs and have refused my request for a replacement vehicle in any form. I have spoken at length to their customer relations director as well as all three of the Chevrolet dealerships I have used for service and purchase; o’neill Chevrolet, avon, CT, gengras Chevrolet, east hartford, CT and carter Chevrolet in manchester, CT, where I purchased the vehicle. None of them are willing to arrange a temporary replacement vehicle and have no further information on a date for repairs or parts availability. This is outrageous and unacceptable. Please advise consumer affairs and me as to how I should proceed. I am a disabled american and have no other transportation options other then my own car. Thank you.

Wheel problem #6

The car stalls when I go from a complete stop into fast-moving traffic. The lug nuts on the wheel covers do not stay securely fastened. I have increasing problems with my power steering function. It would randomly fail and then correct itself initially. Sometimes it would go out when I backed up and then come back when I was in drive. Sometimes it would go out for 5-10 minutes and then come back. Sometimes it would be out for a day or two and then come back. Therefore, I brought it in to the Chevrolet dealership for repair. A few months afterwards, it began to go out again, but just for a moment at a time. This seemed to subside. However, this began happening again from time to time when I would merge onto the freeway. When I accelerate, the power steering goes out completely, the car yanks very hard to the right, and the lights and information display all blink repeatedly. This now happens each time I accelerate to either merge onto the freeway, go into passing gear to get around traffic, climb a hill, or simply quickly speed up on the road. I have brought the car back to the Chevrolet dealership citing this problem, especially since I have just had the problem fixed recently. For all of these, I was told that there is no problem and no recalls for my car make and model. I do not have the option of driving another car or affording a newer one. This is a continually dangerous situation. I am fearful that these defects will cause me and my family harm. When the power steering suddenly went out and the car yanked hard to the right just last night as I went over a raised bridge, I was afraid that I would hit the guard wall and perhaps even go over it. I have had to swerve to avoid being hit from behind because the car stalled as I got into traffic. I do not know if my wheel is loose or if the wheel cover is going to come loose while I drive.

Wheel problem #7

I have a 2006 chevy Malibu, first incident was probably Jan 2013 I filled gas tank and instantly the gage goes to empty and engine light comes on , then gage goes from full to empty for up to 3 days , then it goes back to normal. Now I have a problem with the steering pulling me from left to right , sometimes very suddenly. Had the alignment done and new tires still have the same problem. Getting scarry to drive. Cant figure out what problem is will have to take to dealership.

Wheel problem #8

On three different occasions I have had to have the original rims replaced or straightened after normal use. The repair shop informed me that the rms had most likely been bent from hitting a pothole or railroad tracks. No excessive speed or hazardous road conditions, or off road conditions have been experienced by the vehicle. Yet, during normal wear and usage the original rims on the vehicle easily bend causing the car to shake and the tires to wear unevenly.
