The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph the brake lights would engage while the vehicle accelerated and the brake light disengaged when the brakes were applied. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer to have the brake light switch replaced. After the vehicle was repaired the brake light switch malfunctioned. The contact replaced the brake light switch instead of taking the vehicle to the dealer. After replacing the brake light switch it malfunctioned again. The contact had not taken the vehicle back to the dealer for diagnostic testing on the vehicle.
