My power steering goes out when driving randomly. This has been happening for the last three or four weeks a few times a day. It happens when I'm driving on the highway it happens at all speeds the steering wheel consistently shakes. I have called many dealerships and they want to charge a fee for checking on my recalls. Nothing has been inspected by anyone but I do get warning messages about power steering failure and needing to check my air bag.
First 14v224.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu maxx. While the vehicle was stationary and while driving various speeds, the air bag, abs, and traction control indicators illuminated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 113,309.
Air bag lite or abs lite go on, intermittent. Noticed at start up. Stationary . Cause unknown to me. Suspect bcm connector as in recall #14v252000.
When turning on the car and stationary and attempting to shift the automatic transmission with foot on brake gear shifter does not move. Requires several attempts and extreme brake pressure to get the gear shifted to move into reverse or drive. This results in the inability to move the vehicle to begin driving. There is a recall for this exact same problem on this same make, model, and year but my vehicle is not included when my VIN is entered.
I took my vehicle in for the break light being on continuously while driving. I took the vehicle to beardmore Chevrolet in bellevue nebraska. I believed it was a recall issue (and still do), beardmore performed a diagnostic evaluation and told me it was not. I told them that since it was not a recall issue I would take it to my own mechanic. However when I left beardmore Chevrolet my break lights no longer worked at all. They did not put anything back together and my mechanic told me that there is a short somewhere in the break system and he along with 2 other certified gm mechanics could not find the source of the short. I don't understand how I can go from having break lights on all the time while driving to not having any break lights at all.

Car accident while cruise control engaged. Brakes did not work.
My emergency brake cable snapped.
There are so many issues with this car and I am not at all happy. Just received 2 recalls on it for the electrical system and for the transmission shift cable. There are issues with the steering having a clunking sound and now I have to replace a tire because of it. Tires were purchased last October. I have read several complaints on this specific vehicle and other recalls. My son has to use this car to go back and forth to work which is only 7 miles one way, and I do not even trust it that far. We get told we will be contacted when the parts for the recalls are available, meanwhile something can happen and if it does you may just have a lawsuit on your hands. I just want to give the car back and get something else without having to add the remaining balance due to a new loan.

I notice my wires smoke some times when I drive, and when I put my foot on the brakes I have to do it more than two times and I had that fixed in February 2013. My fuel pump went out and I replaced it( onfebruary 15, 2014). Just about a week after getting my car fixed it seems to hesitate when I put my foot on the accelerator. I took it to get it looked at and no one could find anything wrong and it is yet doing this.
When braking for a stop the car shudders and shakes. The steering wheel vibrates and the sounds are horrible. It sounds as if the dashboard is going to fall out on your lap. We have had the brakes serviced on multiple occasions (rotors replaced, turned) and at one time the front axle was replaced being suspected of being bent. (it wasn't. Cost $1600. 00+) there are many stories of this occurrence on the internet forums and nothing is being done about it by the manufacturer. We own cars that are freaking scary to drive and impossible to sell. Having to stop in an emergency or very quickly may not even be possible the shaking is so violent.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu. While driving approximately 55 mph, the contact had to apply excessive force to the brake pedal. Unexpectedly, the vehicle began to fishtail. The driver was able to gain control of the vehicle. Whenever the brakes were applied with excessive force, the failure would recur. The failure resulted in a crash on one occasion. The driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital. The ambulance and police were called to the scene and a report was filed. The vehicle was damaged and towed to a body shop. The cause of the failure has not yet been determined. The failure mileage was 52,000 and the current mileage was unavailable.
I have a 2007 chevy Malibu. I bought the car 2 1/2 yrs. Ago. It had 12,000 miles on it at the time. We were told at 33,000 miles that it needed a new steering gear, which we did, then at 35,000 miles a strut was replaced, then in 2009 another steering gear was put in and also a few months later it was yet again doing the same thing so they greased it. . . . . Now they say we need a steering shaft put in. . . . . Gm should recall all these vehicles. . . . . I for one am filing a complaint with the bbb and will never own a gm product again. . . . I as well, will do my best to deter anyone I know from owning a gm product!.
When applied right front brake locked up and left skid mark 4 feet long,no other brake wheel left any skid mark. It skidded with my wife when she had to slam on brakes on November 15th 2008 around 7:45pm it slid side ways almost causing a terrible wreck. It was on dry pavement she was traveling around 52-54 mph,it did this before with me driving I almost hit a sport utility vehicle who pulled out of a driveway in front of my path. The dealer checked it but said the computer showed nothing wrong with the brakes.
