Strong gas order is coming from my 09' Malibu. Problem started over 4 months ago. The order can be smelled even while the car has been parked. There is no leaking or spotting on the ground but the smell is very over powering. The smell is strongest near driver's side rear. The smell is very unbearable now.

8 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/25/2017

Car turned off while sitting in the drive thru line. Car turned off driving down the road at various speeds. Sometimes will start back, sometimes will not start back and has to be towed. After waiting a few days the car will drive as normal and then the next time the car will turn off again. The car will turn over, but not crank. If you wait a few minutes, hours or days, the car may start and drive as normal for a few weeks and then have the problem again.

9 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2016

I have had to replace the entire fuel pump because of a leak in one of the lines that are permanently attached to the pump. The pump was fine. But the only way to correct the leak in the line was to replace the entire pump. It was a fire hazard and emitting carbon monoxide inside the cab of the car. This is a serious design flaw and very expensive to repair.

10 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/29/2016

While driving the car the service traction/esc light comes on and startes jerking the rpms shoot up to 4000 and makes a rattle noise. When doing this the speed does not change to reflect the rpms. When at a idle the rpms rest at about 2200. The car doesnt fully want to stop when coming to red light or when breaking. I have had the car a diffrent speeds and tends to stall and shack no matter what.

Failure Date: 09/01/2011

I have had so much trouble with the 2009 chevy Malibu I bought it brand new no miles thinking I was going to be stress free but it has given me the most headaches ever. I have had to replace the shift gear and that my head lights have had to been replace at least once a year since I got it the headache about that is that the whole bumper has to be removed to have them replace. I also had to replace the catalytic converter. I don't think I will ever purchase another chevy car.
