While on my way to work mon morning for the 5 or 6 time the energy reduction light came on im the middle of the highway almost causes me to get rear ended in the road I quickly turned my emergency lights on to keep from being hit pulled over on the side of the highway turned the vehicle off and called the dealership they tell me its a recall on the vehicles theres nothing they can do for me to contact the GMC dealerships I pay almost 500 on car payments to be experiencing this dangerous on the highway someone could have been badly hurt I need help with this problem.
I've been having an issue with my vehicle registering which gear it is in. The gears shift hard, and when placing the vehicle in reverse, the vehicle vigorously jerks back and forth. While driving the vehicle on the road, it slowed down to a complete stop in the middle of traffic. The vehicle would not accelerate, and when it finally did, it just takes off with no warning. When placing the vehicle on park, at times it would still roll. . There is also the power steering and traction control sensors that are both illuminated on the dashboard. The steering stiffening in the vehicle is an issue only sometimes. However, it still worries me while driving on the road with my toddler in the vehicle as well. I did research recalls associated with the make, model, and year of my vehicle and found that there is a recall in each area I'm having trouble in. However, when I spoke with a Chevrolet associate, I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. I won't drive the vehicle because I don't feel it's safe and I'm afraid of an accident taking place.

I have owned my 2006 chevy Malibu since later 2018. It is now Nov 1st 2020. A few months after I got the vehicle I had issues. I have had all recalls replaced by fredericksburg virginia chevy dealership (they say that they did?) the entire time I have owned this vehicle the steering vibrates at high speeds. Also the entire time I've owned this car, when I speed up any hills my steering locks up my battery light comes on and the car pulls to the left or right depending. This is extremely unsafe! dealer didn't know what could cause it. I learned to immediately take my foot off the gas and the steering goes back to normal. This is not easy on a curvy hill road. This can cause a serious wreck. I have a 10 month old baby. This is frightening if it one day it doesn't fix by taking my foot off the pedal. Now my steering is stiff and is so hard to turn when driving at slow speed. The steering motor recall has already been replaced says the dealer. So why is it going bad again? it has only been 30,000 miles later. Why am I having a stiff steering wheel again if they replaced it? the tc light came on within hours of the steering going stiff. Why does chevy distribute vehicles with such safety issues? I should not have to pay for the steering to be fixed/replaced again! dangerous chevy vehicle.

Model: 2015 chevy Malibu/ 80000 miles while driving the car (in highway) it stopped all of a sudden. If I stop at a red light the engine completely shuts down and then I have to put it on parking/neutral and restart the car again. My concern is if it suddenly stops while I am driving it, I may get hit from behind and get seriously injured (almost got hit the other day). While I was having the issues, "service stabilitrak" sign appears on the dash.

Power steering fails while driving. Dashboard will say "traction off, esc off" and I won't be able to move steering wheel. This has happened in busy intersections. I have to stop the vehicle and restart in order to gain power steering again. Mechanic has diagnosed it as torque sensor/steering column. This was recalled on many other Malibus, but not mine. A lot of people are having this same problem but weren't included in the recall. This has been happening since I purchased vehicle seven years ago at 80,000 miles (about once per year) and has gotten worse recently at 170,000 miles (multiple times per month). This is dangerous and very expensive.
When car is stationary waiting for red light to change, the car will shut off and power cycle showing stabilitrak error message before turning back on. This also occurs when the car is stationary and engine is off for several hours.
I was driving about 65 mph when my car displayed a warning on the dash that the power is reduced and the traction control and engine light came on simultaneously. The speed reduced to 20 and would not accelerate. Pulled off the highway and shut off the car. I restarted it after a minute and the traction light went off but the check engine light remained on. The car then drove at normal speed the rest of the way home. This is terrifying as I didn't have a shoulder to pull off and had to pull in someones driveway. Luckily nobody plowed into me. I am now afraid to drive my car anywhere.

Driving at about 60 mph on a straight away, car lost power steering and sensor light service esc/power steering started flashing. The steering felt no different prior to losing, no noises. Drove it this way until I reached my destination about 4 miles away. Car sat for 4 hours, turned it back on and had regained all steering and no warning lights came back on. I have noticed that for about the past 4 years, during the colder months, the service esc/service traction notification will randomly pop on for no other reason then the cold and I lose tire traction. Pretty positive this is what caused me to slide off the road 2 years ago. Whenever I have taken it to dealership for analysis, they claim they can't find anything wrong, because the light pops off as quick as it comes on. I have also specifically asked about and looked up a recall for this, and when my VIN is entered it shows that it is not needed. I found the recall from 2014 for the power steering issue, so either the prior owner had it fixed and it didn't last, or it was never done to begin with because something is definitely wrong here. This is obviously a major issue and the first time I have lost my steering. I have owned this vehicle for 7 years, staying on top of all required maintenance and then some. Gm needs to get a fix for this!!!.
This isn't the first time I've encountered this exact issue, and have had previous issues after purchasing the vehicle (used) back in 2013. Both times this exact issue at hand occurred, both happened while driving. First time, I was driving in a sharp curve with my children in the back seat. This last time I was driving on the highway. Luckily nothing was hit in either cases, however this past time I pulled muscles in my back straining so hard to try and steer the vehicle to get at least very minimum off the road and onto a side street and to safety. As both times I were driving the esc light came on, and power steering light came on. Resulting in me not being able to brake, or steer - the only steering I were able to do was very strained (as previously stated), I had to put forth extreme efforts to get it to barely turn. The steering wheel acted as if it were locked. This needs to be addressed, and covered under a recall as I've read/heard a multitude of the same issues that are all common with this exact year, model/car. And for this be such a danger, it needs to be corrected before it costs someone their life. I'm terrified to think what if everyone around me weren't paying attention when both events took place, it could've resulted in my life. My spouse being single raising our precious 4 children. How chevy/gm can live knowing these issues happen and not address it is horrible, knowing very well it could result in a life I'd not more being lost. The only way I could get the lights to turn off and me to be able to drive, I had to shut the car off, wait, and turn it on in order to continue my drive to work. I'm terrified to drive this death trap of a car, especially knowing these issues could happen at any time, without warning or reason. This needs to be fixed. Otherwise this is a lawsuit just waiting to happen.
Our 2009 Malibu just turned 67,000 miles today and the ecm started flashing service steering and no traction control on a two-hour drive home. After limping home by physically man-handling the steering wheel to make a turn, we made it home. Searched on-line for possible issues and found a multitude of other 2009 Malibu owners facing the same identical issue. Checked the gm website for any possible recalls and none were found. The same was true when contacting a local gm dealership. This is a serious safety hazard that could result in serious injury or death in the event of a crash that, will eventually happen if not fixed. Gm needs to step up and correct this issue.
While driving my car started to say driving assistance off please drive with care then it acts like it's going to turn off. Now its sying.
I have a 2009 chevy Malibu and it's very unsafe to drive. I have a 4 cylinder car with electric power steering and it was not apart of the recall. Yet it's having the same symptoms as the recall cars. I had to have my car pushed out of a ditch yesterday because it's so hard to turn my steering wheel I lost control of my car. My traction control light is on, and pressing the button does not work. I sometimes don't have control to unlock my door and have to call someone to physically open it from the outside. My check engine light is on, also my battery light. And they are all good and up to date. My traction and system light is on too. And my head lights, brake lights, and battery is constantly drained and going out. It's hard to find reasonable price's from auto shops, and the dealership prices are too expensive. I shouldn't have to struggle to turn and work my car because of a computer system that's out. It's very dangerous. I'm going to upload a picture of my car after it was pushed out the ditch. But my steering wheel has been hard to turn and I've been having this problem since January of 2020. And it makes a loud whining noise while trying to turn the wheel.
When I get in my car I notice that my check engine light comes on in an are where certain people don't like me at like cuba mo there is a conspiracy going on out here ever sense they took my kids illegally it's been nothing but problems and I don't want to get hurt or hurt nobody please help my gas leaves quick also I know my car is being hacked because they do that alot out there and surrounding cities the engine light will come on while I'm driving and when I'm out the car it'll come on there is also a tracking device on it that I didn't put on there also I put gas in my car then all of a sudden it goes down to low fuel I just bought the car from the dealership at jd by rider in rolla mo.
Vehicle ecm fails when accelerating. Loses power/shuts down. Cannot enter freeways, pass, or perform other maneuvers requiring sudden increase power demands. Ecm fails to record incident. Every time. Every day. Updated ecm software does not work. Reset check engine mode shuts down other vehicle functions. Have been too close to being run off the interstate, hit when entering from on-ramp, rear-ended in heavy traffic. Nhtsa does not investigate because death and injury cannot be linked to failures because the module does not record issues/failures. There is no fix. Every day you get in your car and wonder if today is the day you die because your vehicle failed to perform at a critical moment. Now vehicle shut downs while driving on level surfaces, at constant speed, with no additional demands. Am installing cams to record traffic conditions and vehicle warnings displayed on dash since ecm does not record failures. I believe a thorough investigation into all rear end collisions involving 2018 Malibus should be conducted since the vital link, the ecm record, has been disabled by manufacturer.
The car stalls out while in traffic and/or immediately reduce speed flashing-engine reduce code on the dash, mines in particular has flashed service traction and reduce engine power on the dash, diagnostic testing is not giving any codes for a specific reason for this issue, seem to be something up with the sensors and electrical system on this car- causing multiple issues to happen all at one time. Chevy dealer not very help- suggesting to fix random parts and the issue continues. Decided not to drive on the highway, but did drive on a busy street in baltimore county.
I came to a red light the car went into auto stop mode, the brakes started loosing pressure I let off of the brakes it continued to roll backwards almost hitting the car behind me then it finally kicked into gear and said service stabilitrak and and also said power assist reduced drive with care then had the codes p3055 and p3056 and the car has 100,000 miles and is serviced regularly.
Service engine signal won't come off and my car won't cut off.

I was driving to town and everything stop working. It scard the crap out of me. I took it to smith chevy in turlock CA they said they didnt know what was wrong with it and charaged me 489. 00. Lucky it didnt kill me. Gm motors need to do a recall on it before someone gets hurt or lose there life.
My vehicle is experiencing all symptoms related to NHTSA campaign number: 14v252000 and there is no active recall for my VIN. That problem his causing high voltage which keeps causing electrical issues like burning cables to the headlights and not getting power to multiple interior equipment such as the ipc which stops working while driving and I am no longer able to my speed and other information. I also get a engine power reduced error from a bad connected from the app to the bcm, code p1238.
When going over any bump or turning the front end shakes and makes a clacking noise. Esc is off. Traction control is always off. Error codes read p0010 p0449 p0013 p0722 p0011.
Is been a few times when I'm in a light and when I'm about to take off the car like holds up and it doesn't wants to move forward unless I hit the gas harder or just park it and shut it off and is been smoking trough the a. C. In less then 6 months I had to repair sertain stuff 3 times. First I took it to replace the fan assembly hybrid battery and a new hybrid battery the oil filter and the oil gasket cause it was leaking oil and update the software. I took it out in 3 weeks it was back in the shop cause I had to replace the timing chains and high pressure fuel pump and preform a system scan wich found that there is a mechanical issue with the engine and also the high fuel pressure was making slot of noise. And put a new high pressure fuel pump a high pressure fuel pipe. I spencer a few dollars on that. I took it out it was ok till it started growing smoke trough the a. C again it keeped holding back on me in the lights and it shuted off on me twice in were I had to hit parking and shut off and back on so it can work. And finally woke I'm driving on south 95 in 60mph the car started smoking trough the a. C then it made this loud noise in the motor so when I pulled over on the highway I see that all my motor oil had spilled in the floor and the motor started to smoke like crazy and the car indicated me to shut off motor. I had to tow my car home and park it to get it fix again. But is crazy cause in less then 6 months all this happened and is still parked to b fixed.

Car will stall out and won't go at time without pumping the gas. We have replaced vacuum pump and both O2 sensors. Power steering locks up when hitting a small bump, won't start unless I moved the drivers seat up and back, if I use the blinkers my radio goes off if I use my high beams the radio freezes. It will do weeks with no issues then one day it will start acting up and does it for days or weeks. Chevy says there is no recap for that model but I've read multiple complaints about the same things so why is it not being addressed by gm.
Car won't start and then get a message saying stabilitrak. Car has under 60,000 miles on it.
