Air Bag Problems of Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid

6/13/2017 I was involved in a 2 vehicle collision on a highway. I was traveling approximately 55 mph when a vehicle pulled out directly in front of me, attempting to cross my lane of traffic. Both vehicles were towed. Staff at the tow service discovered the rear door airbags had never been plugged in at the factory. This is a lack of quality control at manufacturers level.

When driving, 2 messages appeared on dash - "power steering" and "service air bag. " when attempting to start the car later, it would not turn over, and the "anti-theft" light was on, along with the other 2 warning messages from above. After other lights turned off, the "anti-theft" and "service engine light" remained and the car would not start. Odometer: 101844.

Flammability is the least of our worries as the plant declared it a "knock out" gas, feels like a nerve gas, etc. Some were fired in 1995 describing it as sarin gas, qualifying it as a bio-explosive built external to defense (where the first article testing is that prevents purchase of this component in the military). These cylinders also have a known leak rate of 100%. (the original failing of the gas besides the bio chemical reaction) too much pressure leaks in extreme hot whether climates, too little leaks in cold.
