Equipment problem #1

I purchased this vehicle back in August 2018. In January 2019 I noticed that my headliner, back seat, and trunk was wet and it smell mildewy. I have 3 children that have asthma and I don't feel that it is safe for them. I took it by the dealership and showed them they said that it was coming from the 3rd brake light well they ordered a part for the vehicle and stated theater should fix the problem, but the problem is still ongoing. I've been back on several occasions and they did a water test and cannot find the solution. When the problem occurred the vehicle was sitting in the driveway after it rained the problem doesn't show up right way it may take a couple of hours or a day. I'm afraid that it may be mold in my headliner and in between my seats and trunk from the water being stationary. I know of a another car same make and model having the same exact problem and we are not getting anywhere with this issue.

Equipment problem #2

On may 18, 2018 all doors on my chevy malibu were working properly. When my fiance left to leave for work on may 19, 2018 the front passenger door would not open from neither the inside nor outside of the vehicle; it wasn't until may 21, 2018 we were able to get the door to open and found that the latch on the side of the door was not working properly. The car was stationary, but my main concern is what if in the case of an emergency, emergency personnel or my passenger was not able to open the door.

Equipment problem #3

Vehicle in motion in left hand lane, on 5 lane main road during rush hour, traffic going approx. 35 mph. As I was driving the vehicle stalled, engine light came on and a warning message said the vehicle was "slowing down" (it stalled completely). I was unable to drift into the right lane and forced to abandon my car into the center lane - used for merging from other lanes of traffic. Police responded but no report was filed. Officer suggested I leave the vehicle for my own safety & when tow truck arrived to request the auto be towed to a safe spot for removal of personal items. This situation was not only dangerous to myself but others. A crash could have been the result. According to dealer, no recall on this issue. Did have a transmission problem. Less than 10,000 miles on car approx 18 mos old. Dealer hopes gm fix will work, but I am now nervous about driving the vehicle.

Equipment problem #4

The lock will lock and unlock as you are driving down the road and or when the key are not in it.

Equipment problem #5

2009 malibu with 8000 miles has developed meldew in the air vents. The odor that comes through the vents not only smells bad but is causing myself and family members to become sick with asthma and allergy conditions. This can not be healthy. The odor is so strong at times, it embeds into your clothing and makes your eyes burn and water. I took to the dealership and they are very familiar of the problem, which tells me it is a common complaint. They deodorized the vents with spray and said they drilled a drainage hole for the airconditioning condenser condensation to drain in the future. Since they did not remove this meldew/mold I'm not sure they have fully corrected the problem. One day after the odor is still hanging in there. Not sure who I should file my complaint with besides gm and the ood. This car has been problems from day one.
