Three problems related to hydraulic power assist steering system have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While drving on highway the vehicle loses all power assist. The vehicle has been brought back to the dealership 5 times in the last two years for this problem. The dealer is not able to correct.
Power steering fails in rainy weather, causing loss of steering control.
When driving and at a stop light car stalls, there is no power steering. Please describe .
