One problem related to axle assembly has been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Left rear bolt that held the control arm on to the axle broke off. It was noticed when vehicle was being backed out of the garage. Vehicle was checked at the dealer. And no evidence of previous damage was found.
