Five problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Decrease braking ability on wet pavement.
Pe98023; while driving in the rain or in wet condition the vehicle experienced difficulty of braking which caused extended stopping distance, almost resulting in an accident. Cause unknown please provide details.
Brakes not working properly, unable to determine cause.
Brakes do not activate properly causing extended stopping distances.
The brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. Without prior warning there is noise coming from the rear window.
