Two problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While traveling in inclimate weather and applying brakes vehicle takse a long time to stop. Dealership is aware of problem.
Brakes intermittently work, usally in wet climate. While traveling at 60-65 mph brakes won't work. Pumping & applying pressure when brakes are wet makes it very hard to stop, and vehicle will come to a screaching halt. Dealer & manufacturer are aware of the problem, but will not react to consumer's problem.
