Two problems related to brake light have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact stated that the engine failed to start after numerous attempts. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the battery and alternator was replaced. The contact mentioned that the failure was experienced multiple times. The contact also mentioned that the brake lights and headlights failed to operate after the bulbs were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 89,300.
Rear brake lights will occasionally not function properly. At times only the center safety lift will be functional while the two rear brake lights will not work. I am told that the problem is in the multi-function switch. This week I also seen a Chevrolet trail blazer with the same problem. I have not had the problem fixed, yet.
