One problem related to steering gear box sector shaft has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Both, driver's and passenger's seat backs flipped forward when brakes were applied or when vehicle came to a stop. Seat backs do not latch in a closed position.
