Around August 2004 the tie rob was replaced dur to excessive wear. Passanger widndow began making grinding noises when raised and lowered. Eater/ - a/c vent makes whining noise when used. Rack and pinion steering was repalced due to leaks. Was found by the vehicle failing to pass the maryland safety inspection. All problems were reported to gm customer service by telephone.
Consumer complained about rack and pinion steering. Which had to be replaced at 53,000 miles and at 58,000 miles. Currently, at 68,000 miles rack and pinion had to be replaced again. However, warranty expired.
The rack and pinion failed twice in one year, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
Steering wheel would make popping noise when turning. Had take vehicle to dealership, mechanic replaced rack and pinion only. Popping noise reappeared after driving for awhile. Went back to dealer, and pinion was replaced again. Next day, popping noise came back . Consumer went back to dealer, and engine cradle was replaced. Then, popping noise has reappeared. Taking vehicle back again to dealer.
