The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact was driving 70 mph when the front passenger side tire exploded. The contact was able to maneuver the vehicle to the side of the road without a crash and stated that there was no indication of any road debris that could have possibly contributed to the failure. A few months later while driving approximately 55 mph, the front driver side tires experienced tread separation. The rear driver side tire also experienced the same failure. The manufacturer advised the contact to ship the defective tires for further inspection. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 96,500.
