As I went to pull of a stop light my car shifted so hard I all most hit the person in front of me also while I drive my car speeds up on its own not safe at all!!.
Tl-the contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The airbags failed to deploy. The contact sustained injuries to the back, the neck and the head that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was unknown. Djr.
I was proceeding to go up a hill and pressed on the pedal for a little more gas when all of a sudden it felt like the pedal caught on something and was being pulled closer to the floorboard and the car going faster and faster even after I took my foot off. I tapped the pedal two or three times before it finally let loose and engine was not racing. It has happened two times before but it was not as bad. I wanted to check on your site to see if there had been a recall before I take it to the garage.
Vehicle rolls back when on a hill, and it's even worse when a/c is on. Rpm's aren't sufficient enough to hold vehicle on a hill.
