I own a 2005 Monte Carlo, at around 50,000 miles began to have problems with instrument cluster. The fuel gauge and the alternator gauge failed. I have also had problems with the windshield wipers not returning to the set position, I do see that there has been service bulletins issued to for this. The instrument cluster has not been addressed by chevy and I have read many other complaints about this failure from other owners. The fix for this is to replace the entire instrument cluster, this is running between $450 and $650. I think this is a defect that chevy needs to replace free of charge.
