I have a 2006 chevy Monte Carlo ss with the ls4 v8 engine coupled to the 4t65hd transmission. The transmission ai starting to act up, missing shifts and slipping every once in a while. I understand that there are many others experiencing the same thing. My car only has 45000 miles on it and it has not been abused.
I bought my 2006 Monte Carlo, it has less than 23,000 miles on it. I have experienced continued harsh shifting/slippage of the transmission since I purchased it. I have had it in the local chevy dealership a few different times and they are not able to diagnose the problem. They say they can't fix it if it doesn't shift hard for them when they have it. Just yesterday I had to have it towed to the chevy dealership because it blew a power steering hose.
