Unknown Or Other problem #1

All of my gauges stopped working correctly. This problem first started several months ago with my temperature gauge and battery gauges. Now my speedometer is fluctuating irratically and getting stuck. After review of other blogs and posts this is definately a manufacture defect and should be fixed by the gm.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

All of the gauges have completely gone out in my 2005 chevy Monte Carlo ss supercharged including the speedometer, gas gauge, temperature gauge, oil gauge, etc.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

Have a 2004 Monte Carlo. Sporadically when driving the speedometer continues to climb. I was following my husband who was doing 45mph and and I was doing 105 then 114 then 120 then 140 then it dropped straight down. It sometimes resets it self and other times it stays like that for days. The car has 42,234 miles on it.

Unknown Or Other problem #4

Owned this 2005 Monte Carlo for over 3 years now, first incident was around 50 to 60000 miles, 2 years ago, my then mechanic changed out something in my ignition switch that cured the security lite issue. I have the security lite on again while driving at around 95000 miles, afraid to turn the car off, but, if I am at home, I will shut the car off and immediately see if it will restart and it does, after about 15 minutes running, the security lite pops on again and stays on! now, reading all this gm passlock system issues, it is very clear gm needs to correct this problem, and it is a problem of gm! the money we pay for cars and for this to continue is unacceptable. The dealerships wants to replace the bcm, of course, that is the most expensive part and it is not solving the issue, they are playing a guessing game with our wallets! ! it is apparent there is a defect somewhere in the passlock security and I find this as many others do unacceptable to the point where I will not ever buy another gm product and if everyone in these complaints I have read does the same thing, well, gm, I think you will have ramifications from it. Why dont you please make it right with the chevy customers that gives you your job, because if no one is buying gm, there will be no job. I would think gm can restore a good reputation if this was solved. We the people owning gm with your security issue is requesting a final solution to this annoying ongoing problem! so what do you say gm, you think a recall is in order for the passlock security lite issues on the chevys? we the people believe there needs to be one quickly!.

Unknown Or Other problem #5

Speedometer doesn't work most of the time. It will freeze or go to 0 at any time or at any speed. This is a g. M. Problem that has resulted in recalls on some SUV's but not any cars. If you were to google g. M speedometer problems you will get over 200,000 hits. Dealers know the problem exists but g. M is denying it is a safety problem. I have to assume when you are driving a car and don't know how fast you are going that is a safety issue. G. M customer service says there may be a recall someday if they get enough complaints. . . The car in question is a 2004 with 9500 miles. I feel this is something that needs to be researched. To recall some trucks and SUV's but not the cars is stupid. I would hope our gov't can help resolve this problem. . . After all g. M would like our tax dollars. Thank you.

Unknown Or Other problem #6

Someone needs to look closer at on-star's business practices. . . They nearly caused a severe accident tonight. While driving my month-old chevy thru a busy intersection in the dark, bad weather, the radio turned itself off and a male voice came from the back seat (rear speakers) telling me I needed to hit the blue onstar button and 'finish' signing up for the service. I nearly jumped out of my skin, mid-intersection. I have repeatedly told them I do not want the service, did not know they would literally solicit with automated messages while driving! this is an incredibly disturbing use of technology and a safety hazard.

Unknown Or Other problem #7

Terrible odor from the air conditioning unit, I have brought this car back to the dealer on 3 occasions. They state they cleaned the air conditioning unit?? now after 2 weeks of having my car back the odor is back and worse. The dealer states that there was a problem with the drain plug, then the onboard computer, then they say they removed the entire unit and clean and disinfected it? the problem is still there. I am a very unhappy customer!!!.

Unknown Or Other problem #8

Dash buckling in middle. Dealer has replaced a dash panel twice, but the mating part is what is buckling. Dealer informed me that gm will no longer repair this problem, although it appears to be a manufacturing defect. I was told it was designed to buckle from the heat, and once it did, it would not return to original shape. Very disappointing to pay this amount of money for an automobile to have it look like trailer trash two years into its ownership.

Unknown Or Other problem #9

The rotors of my 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS need to resurfaced or replace every 6000 miles, otherwise I will feel the shaking/vibrating of the brakes when I try to slow down or stop at high speed.

Unknown Or Other problem #10

You recalled some Chevrolets, (impala, monte & ect) for the same problem that I'm having with my car, which is a 2001 Chevrolet monte #2g1ww12e519134493. You recalled 2000-2003 last 8 #'s 1910004 through 19178238 which my car is between that. The only difference is that my vehicle has a 3. 4 & the recall was for the 3. 8 only. You really must recall the 3. 4 also. Where I took my car they said there have been a lot of the cars that where 3. 4 that they have replaced.

Unknown Or Other problem #11

The paint on the passenger-side rear quarter panel began to turn noticeably yellow several months ago. Now the paint has begun to blister, split and peel.

Unknown Or Other problem #12

We bought this car in July 2003, my wife is the main driver and when she first drove the car her foot slipped underneath the brake pedal after further research I found that the brake pedal in the 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is 1" higher off the floor than other cars and trucks made by gm's her foot has slipped under it again and now she is afraid of driving it in fear of not being able to stop the car when it is really needed. The brake pedal is a safety issue and needs to be fixed it is a manufactures defect and can cause an auto accident or even hitting someone and hurting or killing them as a pedestrian.

Unknown Or Other problem #13

It is terrible that my car is only 4 years old and the paint is peeling off already, I'm very dis satisfied with the car. I want something done about this problem.
