Transmission Stuck In Gear problem

The contact owns a 1996 Chevrolet P30 chassis. The contact stated that the motor home was experiencing multiple failures. When the contact attempted to place the gear shift into reverse, the shift was not able to move and the gear shift was stuck in the park position. After multiple attempts, the gear shift was able to go into the drive position. The contact also stated that the emergency brakes was not working and the vehicle shifted into park when the contact was driving near his home. The contact did not recall the speed that he was driving the motorhome at the time of the failure. The contact did not feel safe driving the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and no repairs were made to the motorhome. The failure mileage was 40,000.
