2 Frame And Members problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2011

I have a 1999 Chevrolet silverado ext. Cab 4wd. It has numerous cracks in the frame behind the cab. Wich is obviously a huge safety concern! I read up on blogs and compliants on this vehicle. 1999-2002 has the same frame cracking complaints! they are not rusting! just cracking. I contacted gm and they said NHTSA determines the recalls. Toyota had one for frame problems in there trucks. This model year of chevy and GMC definetly needs to be addressed.

3 Frame And Members problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2010

The frame on my 1999 chevy silverado 4x4 1500 reg. Cab has rusted out and has a whole/crack in it by the crossmember, and is unsafe. I replaced all the brake lines sept. 09 because of rust. This vehicle has 9 winters on it and 130k, the rest of the truck is in very good condition. I find it hard to believe gm is not aware of this. They have refused any help.

4 Frame And Members problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2010

Last year we found out we had to replace the entire back half of the frame of our 1999 chev silverado. We took it in for a repair and when they went to take something off the back end, the frame fell apart in his hands. I am hearing more and more pepole saying they're having the same problem. It cost us $2500 to have the frame replaced. I feel gm should be recalling these frames and doing the right thing for their customers. I attempted to contact them and never heard back from them. This is getting ridiculous, this can be a major safety issue if these frames decide to fall apart on the road while the person is driving. I'm sure it's happened already. My husband is laid off and this money would of come in handy to pay our bills during this difficult time. I would like to see you contact gm and have this taken care of. When we got our new frame we were told they had sold at least 7 others in the time frame we bought ours. This is out of control. I just heard of another case just before I typed this message. Please help us!.

9 Frame And Members problem

Failure Date: 07/16/2003

On my 1999 chevy ext. Cab silverado the rust started about 5 years ago and now it looks like a 70's model. The frame of the pickup is so bad you can not even lift it by the frame anymore. I'm afraid that the frame is going to brake while I am driving down the road with my kids in the truck and get in a bad accident. I contacted chevy and they will do nothing for me. This truck should not have been rusting this bad 5 years ago. It's always the little guy that gets the shaft until someone gets hurt. Please help me out.
