Three problems related to instrument panel have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I have a 1999 Chevrolet silverado lots of fuel problems the gauge fluctuates and the pump is shot again. And also have put 3 window regulaters in drivers side and 1 in passengers side. Have friends with the same truck and same problems.
My fuel gauge is not accurate. When the vehicle is full the gauge reads empty and when it is the vehicle is empty the fuel gauge reads full and so on. The gauge is very sporadic pointing to whatever level of fuel it wants to, never displaying the true amount of fuel in the fuel tank. I have to depend on my odometer to read the fuel tank amount somewhat accurately; at least much more accurate than the fuel gauge which is totally inaccurate all the time. This is a big problem and from the information I have received, not at all an isolated one. It seems that every 99 chevy silverado has the same issue.
