I just had transmission work done on my truck when it burned the gears up. My brakes have always either went completely to the floor before they stopped or locked up. Right now its broke down due to too many problems for me to be able to fix but has only been not driveable since July 2017.

When going the speed limit the truck seems to want to cross over lanes just by crossing a dip. It feels floaty on the road another words it doesn't want to stay in its own lane.

Went to get vehicle inspected was informed that the frame is rusted out and is uninspectable and that I need to junk the truck the body is great has 150000 miles but the cross braces are rusted out and its cracked over the rear axel with all the problems oyhers are having and with Toyota having recall on frame rusting out gm should be doing the same they say that the NHTSA is the one to tell them to do a recall and untill they are told to there is nothing thay can do.

4 Suspension problem

I was changing the shocks on the rear and noticed that the frame where the top shock mount is is almost rusted off. Will chevy pay to repair the frame damage because its a safety hazard. Why is it that chevy frames rust sooo bad? why don't they coat the frames with something to they don't rust sooo bad. Ford frames don't rust this bad.

5 Suspension problem

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 mph, there was a load snapping sound heard from the rear of the vehicle as the contact traveled over a large crack in the ground. The contact opened the rear of the vehicle where he observed that the rear leaf spring came through the rear of the vehicle. The contact who was a licensed mechanic replaced the shackle on the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 176,294.

6 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2014

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet silverado c1500 (n/a). The contact stated that the driver was traveling 65-70 mph when an abnormal bump sound was heard from the front end of the vehicle. The passenger¿s side of the vehicle then dropped to the ground. The contact was able to coast off the roadway and onto the shoulder where the contact vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection. The dealer advised that the bearing was fractured and caused damage to the brake and the wheel. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 68,000.

7 Suspension problem

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds and making a turn, he heard a loud clunking noise. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where they informed him that the shackle on the rear passenger's side of the leaf spring was severely rusted. The vehicle was repaired for the passenger's side shackle. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 101,455. The current mileage was approximately 102,000. The VIN was unavailable.

8 Suspension problem

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while applying the brakes under 10 mph the brake pedal pulsated, making the vehicle difficult to stop. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer or called the manufacturer. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under the recall, service brakes, hydraulic:antilock ( 05v379000) but it did not remedy the failure. The failure mileage was 72,500.
