I was driving at low speed on a street that is 25mh as I break to stop at the stop sign my abs activated. Almost caused me a serious accident because I couldn't stop so I had to break so hard my but was actually off of the seat. And this continues to happen so now I have to take the abs fuse out to deactivate my abs.
The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated when he engaged the accelerator pedal the vehicle lunged forward and the brakes failed to stop the vehicle. He was forced to shift gears in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing nor was the manufacturer notified of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 65,000.
I have had the same problem twice since I have owned this vehicle. I reported the first incident about 3 years ago. I never received a reply from you or gm. On April 30 08 I had the same problem again. I was about to pull into the carport and when I put my truck in drive it suddenly shot forward into a travel trailer and driving it into the wall. Both the trailer and the carport were damaged there was no visible damage to the truck.
