1 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2010

2006 Chevrolet silverado. Blower motor resistor shorts out and melts wires, have replaced twice - once a burning smell was noticed. The same problem happened with an 04 and an 05 silverado at my job. Despite fire hazard, inability to use defrost causes visibility problems.

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 04/30/2007

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. At 4,000 miles the indicator light for the four wheel drive illuminated and stayed on for 2 to 3 days until it was repaired. At 11,000 miles the vehicle over heated, and the water pump had to be replaced. Under 20,000 miles the front brakes failed, and it was hard to stop the vehicle at a normal distance. On 04/30/2007 while driving 75 mph, the abs indicator light came on, an hour later the right front end of the truck shook and the engine shut off. The vehicle currently has 52,000 miles , and began failing at 4,000 miles.
