general problems of the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated that as soon as the vehicle was turned on, the driver's seat heated up automatically and when turned off, it came back on, on high. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated and remained on for the past two weeks. The failure was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was. 105, 647. Fe.

The contact stated that when the failure occurred, the heated seat function could not be deactivated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed that the heated seat switch was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 110,000 and the current mileage was 114,937.

Front seats are junk. You can feel the springs in the backs popping. Seats would make a popping sound when you shift your weight they were not right when I bought this truck in Dec '06. Took back to dealership at least 3 times to be fixed. They said gmac will not cover this but they would replace the part under the seat. Went through this 3 times with the dealership saying the last time they "replaced " the upright part of the seat. The seats still makes the popping noise and sounds like a broken spring(s).
