Takata recall the engine is not getting enough fuel oil pressure gauge is at 80 transmission is skipping electric problems suspension fail.
As I come to a stop, the brake pedal pulsates from abs activation increasing braking time and distance. The ground is dry while this happens. After a while the and light comes on. Was told by a dealer mechanic it was a bad abs sensor and to replace hub. I did and now, two years later, it is happening again. Now I'm being told it is a problem with elements in my area, being in a snowbelt state, getting into wheel speed sensor and blocking signal. Same exact symptoms as last time, different diagnosis. Neither time did they plug into my truck for codes. Both times, I have to open my wallet for faulty products.

Every time I turn around I have to take my truck to get it repair, all out of warrenty 5600 miles. The noise that my steering column makes everyone says not to worry. My rims are so pitted on my truck it looks like poop. You know what I paid $33,000 for this chevy truck and I dont like noise that is not suspose to be there/one mechencil said he couled fill my column with grease but that would last. Its a joke spending this much money for a bad lemon by chevy. .

The contact stated he felt an unusual bump and suddenly, the steering wheel became extremely stiff. The contact inspected the vehicle and discovered that the front driver side wheel was abnormally turned inward. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop where the contact was informed that the hub bearing was fractured. Both front wheel bearings were replaced. The manufacturer was notified and the contact was told that the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number: 07e106000, (wheels: cap/cover/hub). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 51,000 and the current mileage was 51,100.
2006 Chevrolet silverado z71, 30000 miles, abs "engaging" at low speeds, unexplainable tire tread wear, vehicle pulls , rotational grinding noise. Brought the gm certified dealer/service. Front driver's wheel bearing bad. I asked for "old" part after $750 repair for bearing ( and I needed all new brakes and rotors! most likely due to poor front end!!!). . . Dealer explained "condensation" as the cause! ! ! ! . . . . . . Replaced one , dealer "kept " the part and didn't charge me the $500 for it, and I paid $250 for the labor. . . . . . However, both should have been done, both should be greasable, and not sealed, both for free and warranteed! ! !. . . . And this problem should not be as rampant as it is!!!!---its dangerous! this truck sucks!.
Sudden wheel bearing breakup on 2006 chevy silverado pickup 4w on drivers side front wheel in may 2008. Same occurrence on passenger front wheel in April 2009. This pickup had less than 19,000 miles and was highway driven. Had to have immediate repair both times (replacement) and paid $377 second time as did not go to gm dealer for repair. Traveling in arizona and went to nearest garage for repair. Have old part which was manufactured by federal mogul corporation. No consequence as we stopped driving as soon as we heard the noise of the breakup to avoid losing a tire.
Drivers side front wheel bearing failure at 37000 miles. The bearings are sealed and cannot be lubed. The bearing is part of a wheel hub assembly making the cost of replacement ten times what it would normally be. Since the bearings cannot be lubed, then failure is assured at some point. I have a 1950 chevy with the original wheel bearings still in use. Some of you bright guys in engineering need to quit re-inventing the wheel (bearing).
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the front driver's side hub bearings were grinding together so badly that he could not drive his vehicle. The mechanic stated that the wheel would detach from the vehicle if no repairs were made. The mechanic also demonstrated how the wheel was wobbling when he put the vehicle on the lift. The vehicle was taken to the dealer once before when it was making a loud noise and they changed the tires; however, the failure still persists. The dealer will not repair the vehicle and advised the contact to purchase an extended warranty. He refused since the vehicle had low mileage. The failure mileage was 39,586.
