I was driving my 2007 Chevrolet silverado when the power steering, power brakes, dashboard gauges, electronic stability control, traction control stopped working simultaneously. There was a significant loss of power and the transmission shifted violently and the vehicle jerked. I was traveling in motion on a city street with traffic present while this occurred. This nearly caused an accident as I was barely able to steer the vehicle off the road.
Stabilitrak and traction control alert car wont go above 15mph locks up and stutters.
C1500 at times when stopping will shut down, all lights on the dash board will light up and whole truck will shake. Took to chevy dealer ship they said needed new motor. . Already put top end of motor in 1 1/2 years ago - same thing is happening now but they say needs new motor. Let truck set for several days, crank it and it seems to be ok. But don't know when it will do it again. If needed a new motor it would not crank and drive. Chev. Dealership was going to charge $6,000 for new motor and labor. And obviously that is not what is wrong with it. 08132018.
A code po138,p0011 on my truck with 132678 miles on it, and it shifts hard into gear after stopping, if I drive it for like 2 or 3 miles or idle for 5-10 minutes,the stabilizing light will come no then go off after about five or ten minutes,beep and everything works fine, but engine light comes on,but self reset on restart and I've change the camshaft position sensor, brake switch, exchange number 8th injection, negative and positive battery cables, with grounding straps, ignition switch truck's key wouldn't turn off, air bag warning light lit and traction control off, this comes and go every since I bought this turck in 2006, the dealer never could fix it, it would do good but given six months, then act up agian I were just wondering if you might have an answer? and when the light is on and says service traction control and engine says injection right has malfunctioning or engine hard shift on take off.

Driving down road when reduce engine power comes on and shuts down the power and I can not drive over 15mph on a busy highway. . . . .
Was driving my 2007 chevy Silverado 1500 about 40 mph when the door locks started locking and unlocking, all warning lights were flashing, speedometer would read then drop out the read again. Engine temporarily was shutting off then coming back on. Tried to accelerate to get it off the road and felt like transmission was affected but may have been because the was the engine was shutting off and on. Got home shut key off and lost all electrical power and could not restart. I was a gm tech so went into garage for a battery tester hooked it up and battery load tested good shut hood went to go back inside truck and power came back on and started right up. Has happened twice since then. Asked other gm techs still working at dealers and said they've never heard of problems like this happening.
The evening of March 10 2013 around 1700 hour my brother a single man, was fatally killed in his 2007 Chevrolet silverado k1500 pick-up truck, approximately 1 mile from his home on a paved country road. He was pr0nounce dead @ 1730 hour. The cause of the accident has not been determine, yet the report will show that he was traveling on a down hill slope where he swerved off the pavement to the right and then over corrected back on to and crossed the pavement on the left and then back across the hi way on the right impacting a bridge embankment over turning over hitting a tree, resting right side up. His air bag never deployed. We was told there was not any thing wrong with the airbags mechanism, further that the crash was not head on. This vehicle is totally destroyed. I have it storage for any one inspection. My brother was not ejected from the vehicle, I do believe, should the bags had deployed, my brother would be alive to day. Also, further his steering from one side to the other indicate he had no power steering and finally, the skid marks on the gravel edge and not on the pavement, give an indication, there were no power assisted breaking all add up to the fact the vehicle lost its electric power by the key switch accidently shutting the engine off.
