The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Soon after the vehicle was purchased on August 8, 2006, the steering wheel and the vehicle itself began to bounce and shake. When turning the wheel in either direction, the steering wheel feels as if it will detach. The more the vehicle is driven, the worse the failure becomes. On September 16, 2006, the vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer was unable to find any failure but stated that it was the characteristic of the vehicle. On June 6, 2006, while making a left turn, the steering wheel operated on its own and caused the vehicle to crash into a pole. The speed at the time of the crash was 5 mph. The contact noticed that the tie rod in the front had detached. The vehicle was towed to the dealer.
