Steering Wheel /handle Bar Yaw/angle Sensor problems of the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brakes seized without warning, causing the abs to activate. The failure nearly caused a collision. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a faulty steering angle sensor; however, the dealer informed the contact that the steering angle sensor part was no longer being manufactured. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 220,000.
