While driving or stationary, when pressure is applied to the drivers side seat back it instantly goes to the fully reclined position! something internal to the seat back adjuster lets loose/malfunctions. Two times now while I'm driving I lean back to take something out of my pocket and the seat goes fully reclined. The natural instinct is to pull on the steering wheel to keep from falling backwards, and this causes the truck to swerve. Very dangerous!!!!!.
The leather driver seat developed a small tear from limited wear and tear. Being out of warranty, I have to bear the cost of poor quality workmanship on a vehicle that is $47,000. I have done everything possible to avoid it tearing further, but entering and exiting the vehicle strains the tear area and it slowly gets worse.
The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the driver and passenger side seat brackets were rusting. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the dealer sent photos to the manufacturer. The contact stated the vehicle has a five year, fifty-thousand mile rust and corrosion warranty but the manufacturer would not honor the warranty. The contact was concerned that the seat would not be held in place over a period of time. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 26,000.
Our truck has a crack/hole in the dash, right side. A/c "recycle" air doesn't work from day one; constantly smell exhaust. Rear 60/40 seat rattles whether up/down. Front passenger door outside handle broke; cheap quality plastic; seat cushion bottom not holding up, already worn. Moisture in the white reverse lights.
