The contact stated that the engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the first and second solenoids needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to a transmission shop where the technician diagnosed that the electrical system needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.
