The truck brakes or something locked up and cause me to crash the truck. Police report was filed and insurance company has appraised the truck. No warning lights or anything came on.

While pulling into a parking spot the steering stopped working almost causing me to crash into another car. I shut the car off and restarted and the power steering was still out. . Thank god I wasn’t on the highway.

Tl the contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph and approaching a stop light, the vehicle decelerated independently. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the steering, brakes, the radio and several other electrical functions became inoperable for approximately 3-5 seconds. The vehicle jerked forward, and the electrical functions returned. The vehicle operated as intended. The contact referenced the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 14v827000 (electrical system). The vehicle was not repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 138,000.

Continue to get the �check air bag� message when pressing brake pedal, hear a sound coming from the rod that ties into the brake booster continue to get the �traction control is off� message.

5 Steering problem

Failure Date: 10/26/2019

Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while parking the vehicle, the steering wheel seized without warning. The contact powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted but the failure recurred. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start when turning the key in the ignition. The contact called titus-will Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac dealer, (2425 carriage loop sw, olympia, wa 98502, (360) 464-4251) and was informed the VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000. Aw.

6 Steering problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2017

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving approximately 15 mph, the knuckle assemblies fractured and fell off without warning. The vehicle was taken to an unknown Chevrolet dealer in auburn, wa who stated that there was no recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 27,000.
