Tl the contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a loss of engine power and the service traction control, stabilitrak, and engine power reduced warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to freeland Chevrolet (located at 5333 hickory hollow pkwy, antioch, TN) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed a new battery. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the accelerator pedal position sensor was defective and needed to be replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the power train control module was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failures.
