My transmission failed and I couldn't go over 40mph. The truck would jump and bounce and make loud screeching noises. At first I thought it was all the transmission. I asked a family friend who is a mechanic and he diagnosed it. He concluded that the transmission wasn't the only problem. The motor was having difficulties changing from v8-v4 also. I have been told by many people that I need to get a tuner to delete the computer program that changes the amount of cylinders firing. I have also seen/heard trucks that go without the delete too long. Also, my power steering will fail at low speeds while turning. Gm fails to see that my truck has this issue. Saying it doesn't affect my VIN.
Having a bad shutter grinding noise coming from transmission.
