My seatbelt has locked on me a couple of times without even being on break an the foot area is extremely hot . I've took it to get serviced an it stills does it . My steering wheel an locked also I just don't drive it like I use to an I'm still paying a note on it . Very frustrating . I was driving at all time these problems occurred.
On 7. 3. 2019, I was backing into a parking space when a loud noise occurred. I got out and my truck was sitting on the ground as my front driver side tire was broke off and resting on the ground. I had the vehicle towed to the nearest chevy dealer and was told the control arm had failed causing my tire to break off. August 8th, this happened again but on the passenger side. Thankfully this happened at my home when pulling into the driveway. I am not sure how this has not been recalled seeing as this is obviously faulty control arms on both sides of the truck. This could have been a catrastophe had I been on traveling at higher rates of speed. This is an expensive repair and is quite ridiculous seeing as the truck is not that old. I am hoping that chevy will make this right before others with the same issue are injured. I can also provide pictures of both incidents.
Constant vibration threw out the cabin of the truck at speeds of 65+. I have had 5 sets of tires and the problem has not been fixed even with tires they say will fix the issue, michelin tires. It is said the its a frame issue and that I have to continue to bring it into the dealership to get the tires balanced every time it starts up again. Even then it still happens on a monthly basis. Why do I have to pay for gm mistakes on the build of tithe trucks? please help, this is not right of gm passing the buck onto the customer.
Takata recall- since we first purchased the unit, we have been having problems with it. It first started with with suspension and the wheels, it was doing an awful lot of shaking in the interior and also causing the tires to ware out quicker. Now the airbags are not functioning correctly, we keep getting messages on the dash to service the problems but we I take it to the dealership they keep saying nothing is wrong and to not worry about it, but I am a mother of 2 small children and I am worried.
Today I purchased a new set of truck tires at dave stern tire located in paterson ,new jersey. Near completion the service manager informed me that one of my lug nuts split/cracked on one side ,the caster cover on the lug nut came off. I observed that like has happened to my 2006 Chrysler 300 the same thing and problem-there is a safety hazard that the lug nuts can crack and come off while driving . All of those lug nuts sheered off and or rounded and costed me money to replace all of them. On my Chrysler ,like now my chevy silverado I have to go to a certified dealer to purchase all new ones, these lug nuts cannot be purchased in a automotive store due to the certain tappered end to fit securely to keep the wheel on ,in closeing this is a dealer defect and new lug nuts- are need to replace the casted covered/and lug nuts that was original equipment when this truck was purchased from dealer originally. This is a safety hazard waiting to happen.
Power steering failure caused accident, it has been five months and they have done nothing.
Purchased a new 2014 off the lot with 7 miles and we have had nothing but trouble with this truck. From air bag sensors going out and the dealer refusing to cover this to the seat being replaced. The rear went out and had to be replaced. The ac has been replaced twice. Both times called chevy asking for help and was denied assistance. Seatbelt issues. Computer screen issues. Tire senor issues rattling in the dashboard. I will never own another Chevrolet product again. This is the primary vehicle my husband drives to work and back home. This truck is only 3 years old and we have actually think we have a defective product and chevy doesn't seem to wanna help us. I hate to write the monthly note out each month paying for something that's always breaking down. I will never own another Chevrolet product.
Bubbles in the side wall of two tires. Goodyear fuel max assurance. P265/65r18. I noticed this issue while the truck was parked in my driveway.
Vibration at 70 to 75 mph!.
Constant shaking coming from rear tire's have had them balanced, rotated and we still shake.
Vibration issues at different speeds between 70 to 80 mph on the highway. I had my wheels and tires rebalanced many times. Still have issues on been checked.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at any speed, the vehicle vibrated uncontrollably without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed that the tires required to be rotated. The tires were rotated however, the failure recurred continuously. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,400.
20 inch wheels vibrating installed new 275/55r20 tires still have vibrantion.
The drivers side front tire alerted it was low on air. Stopped and checked air pressure but it was ok. I returned home and the next morning the drivers side rear tire was flat. Swapped the tire with the spare and took it to the dealer. The air pressure display on the truck is reversed. The indicator for the front tire is showing the rear tire. The rear tire is showing the pressure for the front tire. They are fixing it now, not sure of the trouble yet.
Was driving in the right hand side lane just went through a intersection. Less then a minute later the tire bursted and my steering wheel was forced to the right and I hit the curb, bending and denting my wheel. I didn't hit anything or go over anything. Got out of the car and the tire was completely flat. Had to call a mechanic friend to come and help take the wheel and tire off and put my spare wheel and tire on. When the tire came off there was no nails or sign of impact on the tire. On the inner side of the tire that faces the motor there is a 3-5 inch skinny jagged crack straight line on the side wall part. I always keep plenty of air in my tires there was no tire pressure warnings on the car before I left. I have a screen shot of my tire pressure an hour before this incident occurred. This happened to my front passenger side tire. The tire is defective but the dealership I have bumper to bumper warranty with won't do anything. They state I must have had let the tire pressure get low or I must of hit something. I have proof my pressure was fine and I didn't hit anything. The crack is on the inner part of the wall if I would hit something it would been on the tread part or on the outer wall.
