When attempting to turn left at an intersection the steering wheel stopped turning at about the 10 o'clock position, jerked hard to the right out of my hands. I braked and tried to turn again, the steering did this repeatly for five attempts. I turned the ignition off, waited about 10 seconds then restarted the truck. The steering then worked normally. My wife and I have experienced this type of episode 5 times between us. This truck does have the lane monitoring system and I have experienced the gentle tug of the steering wheel and vibration in the seat. This is not like that. This is an intermittent complete loss of steering control. This has happened at very low speed when making a left turn from a stopped position and it has happened at very low continuous speed such as entering a driveway. It has never happened when turning right. Sometimes it corrects itself, sometime you have to turn off the ignition and reboot it. I have given it to the dealer for evaluation. Their initial reaction was that they don't know what the problem is. Fortunately no damage to ourselves or others, but the potential is there. That is why I felt I should report this.
