The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 equipped with continental crosscontact lx20 eco plus tires, size: p275/55/r20. While driving 70 mph, there was a vibration in the tires. The contact noticed that the tread separated from the front driver and front passenger tires. The vehicle was taken to schumacher Chevrolet of denville (281 us-46, denville, NJ 07834) and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall; therefore, the contact would have to pay for all the charges. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The continental manufacturer was contacted at 800-847-3349 and stated that the VIN was not included in a recall, and that the contact had to pay for the repair. A case number was not provided. The approximate tire and vehicle failure mileage was 22,000.
