1 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2022

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the stabili-trak message was displayed and the abs and traction control warning lights illuminated. The front wheels seized while making a turn. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the front driver's side speed sensor and wires were faulty. The front driver's speed sensor, wire kit, and connector kit were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, where it was determined that the abs and stabili-trak had seized and the front driver's side wheel bearing was faulty. The dealer replaced the hub assembly. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was 67,611.
