The system that failed is the speedometer display and radio display while driving. This can be dangerous as I do not know the speed I am driving. This can also be dangerous as the display includes the screen for the backup camera that turns off without notice while backing up. The problem has happened many times in the 2017 Chevrolet silverado owned by the company I work for. I own a 2015 Chevrolet silverado and the issue occurs in it, as well. I notified the gm dealership where both vehicles were purchased and they said the screen could be replaced but would be very expensive. No warning lamps or messages occurred.
