1 Tire problem

Failure Date: 06/18/2020

Our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was purchased new from the dealership in August 2017. The tires that came with the truck are continental crosscontact lx20. I began to notice chunks of rubber tread coming off of all 4 tires when they had approximately 27,000 miles. I had them inspected at the dealership due to safety concerns. I was told it was normal wear for these tires. The tires are rated for 70,000 miles. I currently have 36,500 miles on my vehicle and took it in for regular maintenance and tire rotation. I was told that the tires needed to be replaced due to pitting and chunking. There is good tread left on the tires, however the rubber is coming off in huge chunks on all 4 tires. The manufacturer has been contacted to address my concerns.

2 Tire problem
