37 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 10/25/2019

The projection for vehicles seems to go off during heavy rain, forcing me to turn off the safety feature. If not my seat rumbles and the lights go off frequently.

38 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2019

The recall was to replace the vacuum pump and vacuum belt. The dealer recalibrate the vehicle computer instead. I have spoken with gm several times now and am not gett8ng a straight resolve.

39 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2019

The vehicle vibrates through the steering wheel and seat when traveling at highway speeds. The dealer balanced and checked road force on wheels after 5,000 miles and rebalanced two wheels. Vibration still exists and appears to be getting worse with more miles. The wheel balance didn't fix the problem.

40 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/27/2019

On 02/27/2019 I purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 at cole Chevrolet, Cadillac in bluefield, west virginia I noticed that it was making noise when I drove it and a vibration with the truck. I thought it was the road surface causing the noise it was a lot worse at 70 mph. The more I drove the worse it got. I got to looking at the tires I noticed that the front passenger side tire had high and low spots on the outside edge. On 06/27/2019 I took the truck in for a oil change and tire rotation at the dealership that I bought it at, I showed the service department the front passenger side tire. I was told that the front end was out of alignment and they did alignment on the truck and they ordered a new tire. I drove the truck a little over 600 miles, I started getting the noise and vibration again. I got to checking the driver side tire and noticed the same thing on the inside edge. On 07/24/2019 I took the truck back to the dealership service center and told them that the same thing is happing with the front passenger side tire. The new tire was in and they changed it. Check the alignment again and told nothing is wrong with the tires that the tires are soft causing the wear. I learned later the the problem with the tires is called cupping. I called goodyear tire and talked with them about the problem. Goodyear had me take it to one of their service centers to check my truck. Goodyear service center told me that the front end is in alignment. They told me that the cupping on the tires is a mechanical problem. They advised me that the same thing will happen again if I put new tires on, if I didn't get the mechanical problem fixed. I called gm about this problem. They told me to take it back to the dealership and have them check it. I did on 09/09/2019 I told them I was having problems with the steering loosing traction go around curves was told nothing is wrong.

41 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/09/2019

Shaking in the front at speeds over 40mph when there is a slight acceleration, that does stop when you take the foot off the gas. The shaking seems to get more violent at higher speeds, and so far the dealer has been unable to find the cause.

42 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/04/2019

In April 2018, I purchased a new 2018 Chevrolet 1500 silverado. In November of 2018 I noticed an unacceptable amount of corrosion on the chassis. In March 2019, the corrosion has increased to the total front of my chassis rusting. Note: the markers used as a reference for the manufacture to assemble the vehicle were still present, indicating a sharply marker had adhered to the truck better than the noxrust coating. Note: I clean my vehicle regularly( every two weeks). I took my vehicle to two separate Chevrolet dealerships to no avail. They stated that the warranty did not cover standard damage to the paint. The fault was not damage to the paint, rather the wax coating simply did not hold up. According to the shop records, my truck was still within the 3 year/36,000 mike bumper to bumper warranty measuring at 30,521 miles. Please see the attached photos for more detail.

43 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 03/07/2019

I purchase a 2018 Chevrolet silverado in November of 2018 that was defected. Took it to the dealership 3 times for repair for the same problem. Dealership couldn't fix it so they traded it for another 2018 silverado. The 2nd truck has the same problem with the transmission. It's makes a grinding vibration between 40 and 50 mph and it makes a sound like something is going to come apart or something is getting ready to fall out. Dealership huffines Chevrolet in lewisville,TX saids it's my driving habits. General motors stated the problem go's away over time. If problem go's away over a period of time, why did it go away on the 1st truck. Transmission is defected and they know it. At this point all I want is my money back. I've been frustrated for 6 months over my truck. It's unsafe to drive because of grinding and vibration. I'm now going to continue to make payments on a unsafe defected vehicle.

46 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2018

Takata recall. While backing out of my driveway I heard a loud clunking sound coming from the under carriage of my truck. It stopped for a second and then did it again the clunking sound got progressively louder. I noticed the sound at low speeds, high speeds, going over minor bumps and big bumps in the road. Additionally, while going over big bumps I could hear what sounded like flexing and/or grinding metal coming from the rear suspension. I stopped the vehicle and proceeded to rock it back and forth and noticed the knocking/grinding sounds coming from the under carriage and the suspension. I got back in the vehicle and drove off and the sounds again started. I have infant twins that I was driving in my vehicle at this time and I became very concerned for their safety and mine. I took the vehicle to the dealership (since it is brand new and at the time only had 2-3k miles on it). They said "its a known problem in Chevrolet trucks" the paperwork they gave me after the "repair" stated" lubricate rear leaf springs and re-torque bolts" this indicates I had loose suspension components. The problem occurred again and I again took the truck to the dealership. They again stated the same repair and refused to provide any other remedy and also refused to replace the leaf springs. The same problem happened again. Again I took the truck to the dealership and again they refused to provide any other form of service to remedy the problem. My truck has less than 8k miles on it and it has been in the shop on 4 separate instances for the same suspension problem. The clunking and loose suspension noises have returned and I will be taking the truck in for the 5th time. This is unsafe, and my wife refuses to drive in my truck nor allow me to drive our children in our truck because shes concerned for their safety!.

47 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2018

Vehicle developed a vibration at 80mph which fades in and out. Tires were road forced balanced, and alignment was done. Transmission fluid was changed. The shacking at 80mph continued. On a 30 mile commute at 80mph the vibration is extreme 25% of the time (like driving over a rumble strip), moderate another 25% of the time, and the other 50% the vibration is not noticeable.

48 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2018

Constant vibration/shake coming from the vehicle at any speed above 65 mph. The truck has been like this since the day it left the dealership. When on highway and vibration is felt, putting the truck in neutral does not change the vibration, slowing down makes it slightly worse, speeding it makes it slightly better. Feels like there is something seriously wrong with the geometry of the truck making it unsafe to drive at highway speeds. Road force balance was already done and the problem persists on a brand new truck.

49 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 02/02/2018

I bought this truck brand new from the dealer, I have 70 miles on it, the truck shakes at 75-85 mph, dealer says it ok. I paid 40k for this and its not ok with me.
