general problems of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

During acceleration my vehicle had a whinning noise coming from near the transmission. It will buck and then when slowing down to a stop it bucks like being hit in the rear by another vehicle. It also shudders and makes the reduce engine power light come on.

I was t-boned by a f-150, airbags didn’t deploy and my seat belt didn’t lock. With no safety features deploying, I sustained injuries. No one wants to inspect it, due to there being no fatalities or permanent dismemberment. There were no warnings or lights on prior to the accident, the seatbelts still latch and are able to be buckled which they shouldn’t be.

On January 28, 2023, my Chevrolet silverado was involved in a significant multi-impact collision. At the time of the accident, I was a front-seat passenger and my vehicle was fully stopped when it was struck from behind at high speed by a Dodge 2500. The force of the rear impact pushed my truck into the vehicle in front of us, resulting in a secondary front-end collision. This sequence occurred twice. During the collision, the front passenger-side airbag did not deploy, and the front passenger seatbelt failed to lock. As a result, I was thrown violently within the passenger side of the vehicle and struck my head on the dashboard. In contrast, the driver’s seatbelt locked properly, as did the rear seatbelt where my child was seated. Due to the failure of the passenger-side seatbelt to lock, I sustained a severe concussion, a black eye, and other injuries. The vehicle was subsequently inspected by my insurance company. When sheriff’s deputies and state police arrived at the scene, they expressed concern and surprise that the passenger seatbelt did not lock and that no airbags deployed despite the severity of the collision. Shortly after the accident, I contacted GMC regarding these safety concerns. GMC retrieved the vehicle’s crash data recorder (cdr) and conducted an investigation. I was later informed that GMC found no defects or issues with their products. Nearly three years have passed since the accident, and I remain deeply concerned and dissatisfied with GMC’s conclusion. The passenger-side seatbelt did not function as designed, while the driver and rear seatbelts did, and no airbags deployed. I do not believe adequate accountability or explanation was provided regarding the apparent failure of the passenger-side restraint system. Given the force of the impact, I could have been ejected through the windshield.

I was involved in an accident on one 2623. My vehicle was struck. However, my airbags did not deploy. Also, the diagnosis code did not show in remains faulty.

Front axel seperated from vehical causing crash. Left front wheel assembly from cv joint. Defect in airbags, excess exhaust sprayed over top of hands on steering wheel at 9 oclock and 3 oclock pisition. Caused 3rd degree burns with perminate scarring and disfiurement. Chevy had ignored all issues while driving I could feel the truck dropa nd get pulled to left, with no control, they insult and ignor a fact. I have grave concerns for future fatalities . So noted.

The seatbelts and airbags did not engage when vehicle was involved in serious accident. Seatbelts we’re on but did not lock up and airbags never deployed. Vehicle is in a body shop in mexico. Serious spinal and hip injury made worse due to these components mail functioning. Vehicle is still in mexico while insurance company drags their feet so they don’t have to pay. Vehicle has only been towed and not examined while it just sits there waiting for insurance company to do something. There was a police report made and I’m unaware if insurance folks have looked at vehicle as they won’t talk to us. There were no warning systems prior to incident. Why would a person even think their seatbelts and airbags weren’t going to work??.

Stabilitrak was set off due to air bag module going bad. When braking it locked up 3 of the 4 tires abs went nuts but didn’t stop it from locking up.

Gm has refused to cover all costs associated with the repair of the recalls on my vehicle. Specifically the added costs of transportaion to a dealership to repair the vehicle. These cost are for a ferry to transport to the dealership.

My vehicle was pushed into the medium the 1st tree I hit airbag didn't deploy till I hit the 2nd o tree on the passenger side I was driving 45 miles an hour.

Air bags did not go off in a high speed crash. The pretenchers activities in the seatbelts but no air bag deployment. This was a 55 mph offset crash into an another vehicle.
