I am experiencing the exact details of n192272400 rear wheels lock at low speed but for some reason my VIN isn’t associated with the recall! this is highly dangerous. It could cause a serious accident seen that I live on a main road. I don’t know where the vehicle locks up the rear brakes if I go over 5 miles an hour at random times. I believe 100% that it is exactly what is described in that recall which is a defective tcm that has a short circuit. Another issue that I have with his truck out of nowhere is a short circuit in my rear defroster that was sparking and smoking when I used it.
8l90 transmission failed. The transmission was inspected by a Chevrolet technician at a Chevrolet dealership and found to be defective, thus rendering the vehicle not drivable. There was an engine light that indicated a tcm problem. The vehicle is currently in the mechanic shop at the Chevrolet dealership awaiting a new transmission.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and accelerating from being idle, the vehicle aggressively started jerking and the vehicle lost motive power. The contact coasted to a safe place and waited before attempting to restart the vehicle to continue driving. The vehicle occasionally restarted immediately, and other times took a long time before restarting. The contact also experienced unintended acceleration. The vehicle was shifted into neutral to decelerate. The contact stated that the failures occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the transmission and lifters had failed. The six lifters were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The lifters were replaced a second time, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, who then diagnosed that the radiator fluid was leaking into the engine. The engine was replaced. The failure persisted, and the tcm was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The wiring harness was replaced for the second time. The failure persisted, and the vehicle was returned to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 10,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, while accelerating from a stationary position, the vehicle shuddered while accelerating. Additionally, while decelerating, the vehicle erroneously lurched forward. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who reprogrammed the tcm, and changed the oil which temporarily corrected the failure; however, the failure reoccurred. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 41,000.
Truck has excessive shuddering accelerating or decelerating. According to the service person at the dealer it is a problem with moisture and the factory fluid that the truck came with. Diagnostics showed excessive tcc slippage which requires and upgraded transmission fluid. The tcm was also reprogrammed with the latest calibrations. Total cost $654. 30.
The power train delays shifting from 1st to 2nd gear resulting in hesitation in forward movement or a very hard, abrupt lurching forward shift. This happen on the first drive of the day and then intermittently throughout the day. Both types of shifts create unsafe conditions. It seems the engine power is linked to the the shifting issue and either not enough or too much power is applied at the shift point. In one instance the power train was confused and could not decide whether to be in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear and shifted up and down while I was attempting to navigate congested city traffic at slow speed. Gm service bulletin 20-na-102 and 16-na-361 suggest that the power train behavior is normal. When I returned the vehicle for service, this was the diagnosis. Discussion with the service advisor indicated that in some instances other actions are taken to address the situation, but it is never eliminated. Now customer satisfaction program n192272400 has been issued due to a faulty tcm which causes the wheels to lock up. This should be an urgent recall. These combined conditions create an unsafe vehicle that needs to be addressed and corrected.
