The main frame of the truck is rusted so badly I can poke my finger through it. Body shop says they don't consider it safe to drive.
They sold me a vehicle at the dealer. Three days after I bought it, I had to buy tires for it. Because they were in bad condition, they also charged me for a liquid called 3m nitro and I don't understand why they put it in if the tires were in bad condition, and they also promised to fix some details on the bumper and details on the paint on the body of the truck, and the transmission has already started to fail, and they don't want to help me or take responsibility. The truck still has a dealer warranty.
The rear electric sliding window sealant fails in the there trucks allowing for water to get into the cab at times soaking the headliner. When this happens it can cause possible mold in the headliner leading to possible harm to any child seated in a car seat in the back seat. This should be a recall and fix by gm on these vehicles but they currently do not cover the fix.
Rear sliding glass on 19’ + model silverados. Water has entered into the cabin specifically to the left back passenger side. My vehicle to include multiple other people across the nation have been effected by this also. Specifically to mine, water has entered and stained the interior cabin panel. This is a safety/health concern to people experiencing this as it can cause asthmatic individuals and immuno compromised personnel to get deathly ill. I have my babies ride back there and it concerns me that they will get sick due to the negligence of gm not wanting to correct the issue to standard. The answer to the problem is a reseal, however, when that seal does not hold due to faulty back panel glass it is now your obligation to pay for a whole new back panel. Chevrolet has resealed the issue but I have also reached back out to them with no response due to the window not being aligned and portions of the seal being exposed to the weather.
Rear window leak the cracks can be in the left and/or right side of the rear sliding window plastic upper rail glass guide which is covered by the roof rear spoiler. Examples of a left (1), then right side (2) visual crack (with the spoiler removed) are shown in the graphics above.
Leaking rear window, rear differential replacement due to bearing failure.
On November 14, 2022, I noticed water leaking in rear interior of cab, water leak at rear sliding window. It is clear that it had leaked before as there was several noticeable stains. I took the vehicle up to the Chevrolet dealership in frisco, TX to show them. They stated it was a known problem. Another Chevrolet silverado was next to mine that they said was there for the same reason. Aubrey, the service technician told me it was going to be in excess of $4000 to repair. I do not have an extended warranty and the vehicle is outside the standard 3-year warranty. This seems absurd since it is a known issue and clearly a defect in the manufacturing process of the vehicle. There was an NHTSA bulletin issued in August 2020 for this same issue. The bulletin number is 18-na-383. The vehicle should be recalled and the issue fixed by Chevrolet since is is clearly a defect in the manufacturing process.
The frame of the vehicle has significant rust through. I attempted to go through warranty claim and they denied it and said it was normal. I took it to a body shop who advised that this should not be happening and they recommended a full frame replacement and they advised the rust would spread.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated that after a visual inspection, he became aware that their was extensive rusting throughout the frame of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who advised that there was not enough damage to warrant repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Rear window on this truck is leaking. Causing black mold on the under the rear seats and carpet. Rear inside body panel has moisture and rear modules are starting to corrode. Did service a few years ago to fix leak at gm dealership, they said they removed the rear window and install new sealant; issue was not resolved.
06/26/2020 I was involved in an accident where my brakes failed. I have had all previous recalls, and one of the recalls made the brake failure worse than the origional brake recalls. I was following at a safe distance when the car if ft of mr stopped quickly. I applied hard brake pressure(easily enough pressure to properly stop) but pressing hard the truck slowed down but at full hard push brake pedal my truck a chevy silverado 2020 just wouldnt stop correctly. There is a current recall for this issue I'm finding out now that it has happened to me. My truck has been taken into shop but I need to know my options and where to go from here. I've advised my insurance CO of this recall defect and have contacted my attorney to seek damages.

I originally bought a new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ld on 06/08/2019, I really liked the truck and its many features. After several weeks I noticed the whole underside frame and driveline components were rusted and corroded. I brought it back to my dealer and they immediately located a replacement vehicle for me. I picked up the 2nd new truck on 07/10/2019. This truck has the same defects as the first vehicle. Chevrolet has an issue with this model truck. I spoke to gm and they didn't seem to care blaming the dealer for not inspecting truck properly. I am very disappointed and unsure where to turn next, can you help me?.
The paint on my truck seems in adequate. I have many chips and scratches in my paint they I have never had before in other models and brands. I drive my truck carefully and stay out of conditions where scratches may occur. But the smallest blemish turns into a chip down to the primer. As a consumer I would say that the. Inner of coats of paint and clear coat used is minimal. Would like to see a stronger layer of protection and thicker coat of paint.
Drivers mirror problem can't close or mirror unattaches and opens clear to the windshield and comes lose and moves while driving so doesn't function correct and service steering wheel lick issues comes on.
