While turning left, the transmission stuttered and got stuck in first gear. I did some basic research and learned that this is a known issue with 2020-2022 Chevrolet silverado vehicles. I attempted the suggested fix which worked briefly. I then took the vehicle to my local Chevrolet dealer for repairs. After further research I learned that this is a known issue with my year and model of silverado. Gm further voluntarily offered a 15 year, 150,000 mile warranty for this issue. According to gm, my particular VIN is not included in this recall. I am concerned as to how many other trucks are not included. This issue also cost nearly $4,000 for the repair.
My vehicle lost reverse. It can not reverse what so ever. I was in traffic when it happened thankfully someone where there willing to help. I was told I needed a valve body, after spending 3k plus I was then told the transmission has to be replaced. And its a common thing with these vehicle losing your ability to reverse while driving is very very dangerous.
Unknown. The transmission is kicking really bad. There are recalls on other vehicles similar to ours that are having the same issue. It has been doing this for a while now. It shifts hard from 1st to 2nd gear and when coming to a complete stop it also jerks. Also at times the check engine light comes on and it will not shift at all. I am afraid this is going to cause an accident.
This truck is locking up momentarily, sometimes at high rates of speed on the interstate. It is very violent and jars the neck of my and my passengers. It leaves tire skid marks on the highway at high rates of speeds. It happens when I slow down or when the truck tries to shift gears. Turns out, gm has a recall for this exact issue, (n242454440) but my VIN is not included for some reason. The chevy dealer has confirmed this issue and is recommending a new transmission. This has been ongoing since July and I am on pins and needles every time I drive this vehicle. Can you please encourage gm to include my VIN in their recall: n242454440, holding me harmless for the repairs?.
The vehicle intermittently enters a reduced power/limp mode resulting in a sudden loss of acceleration while driving. This has occurred multiple times, including while towing, when the vehicle was unable to safely maintain or reach highway speeds. The loss of power creates a dangerous condition when merging or driving in traffic. Warning messages indicating reduced engine power have appeared, and diagnostic trouble codes have cleared without repair. Despite this, the problem continues to reoccur. The condition is intermittent and not consistently reproducible during dealer diagnostics. The vehicle is currently available for inspection.
Vehicle message "reduced acceleration drive with care" . My car then ran like it was in 1st gear for my drive home. Next morning couldn't go into reverse so I had to have my buddy help me tow it. Went to the dealer and they said that it's "an ongoing issue with gm that they haven't addressed with several vehicles and the part (valve body) is on backorder with no eta. With this horrible safety issue you would think gm would just take the hit and change out the entire transmission instead of making people wait so long without their vehicles.
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the vehicle unintended accelerated. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.
I was driving on [xxx] where the speed limit varies from 65-75 mph. I hit 70mph and randomly the truck jolted and dropped down to 40mph without warning. Cars swerved to avoid hitting me and I was shaken. I called the dealership who said there are no recalls and nothing to worry about, but call if it happens again. Two days later I was driving up to PA from TN. 7 hours away from home and also on [xxx] and the truck did it again 3 times in a row. The truck was bouncing all over the highway and people trying their best to avoid me. I managed to get off but did hit and go over something when I was getting off the highway. I took the back streets and found a dealer. The transmission needs to be replaced the think, on a 2 year old truck with 50k miles. Apparently factory caused electrical issues. This truck has been an electrical nightmare since we purchased it. They need to issue a recall with all the transmission and engine issues that chevy is experiencing. While driving the vehicle it will slow automatically as if there is something in front of the vehicle when there is nothing there. It has happened twice on the highway at highway speeds causing driver to take action. While driving the vehicle, the emergency brake automatically set itself while in drive. Electrical accessory issue with radio; cutting out and losing signal, unable to control volume of radio when driving or parked as radio gets extremely loud and cannot be turned down or off.
After 10000 miles my transmission is shifting erratically, especially in the morning.
